Shop policies, return and customs

All orders shipped outside Switzerland may be subject to duty, customs, VAT or taxes fees. International shipping costs do not include the payment of these duties. In case customs are charged, this payment is full responsibility of the recipient.
VAT/Customs: VAT, custom or tax duties are directly controlled and collected by your country once the package arrives to custom’s checkpoint. Your package may need to be cleared from customs directly by you and you may also need to pay these custom fees.
Additional taxes/ charges/ fees are the customer’s responsibility and must be payed to your country to claim your package.
I, Lorena Arevalo, will not be collecting or remitting VAT. This means it will be collected by your country when the package reaches customs. You may experience package delays ( additional 2 weeks or more) and additional processing fees. You can also check with your country’s customs office to determine what your additional costs will be before buying.

Please understand I, Lorena Arevalo, am not responsible for any import taxes and they are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
Returns by the postal service: If a package isn’t cleared by the customer at the custom’s office the package will be send back to my studio.
If I receive a package back I am happy to re-send the package, charging the customer a new shipping fee (this will be the actual shipping fee it costs to send your item, not the flat shipping fee you paid when shopping in my shop).

If you wish to get a refund instead please be aware that refunds are made of the original cost minus the shipping fee and a $100 fee of handling and re-stocking.
Your order can be canceled only up to 48 hours after purchasing, via email. We take the restocking fee at 50% of your total order. We do not accept cancellations after 48 hours past the purchase and this includes pre-orders. Please cancel your order 48 hours after ordering by emailing info@lorena-arevalo.com

Please shop mindfully, as the small business I have I can’t control customs, taxes or duties charged by your country.

Due to how delicate fine art is and the small business I am, I am not able to accept returns or exchanges at this moment.
